About
My name is Rachel Kaufman,
I have been an Oregon Licensed Massage Therapist since 2011. I found my passion for massage therapy after my own transformative experience with a wonderful therapist in SE Portland. After years of cycling, working at a desk and a poor self-care regimen, I had lost touch with my body. Massage helped me reconnect with and work through patterns of tension in my body, and helped me to regain a sense of stability and a greater ease of movement that I was not even aware I had lost. I knew right then that I wanted to help other people find that sense of ease in their own bodies.
I went to school at EastWest College, one of the largest and highly regarded massage schools in Oregon. I received a thorough education and began practicing after graduation in 2011. I am passionate about therapeutic massage and the positive impact it can have on lives.
The greatest fulfillment I get from my work is assisting people through their healing process. I feel a deep satisfaction as we work together to overcome age old pain and restriction patterns, and seeing a life transform as those issues diminish.
When balance is restored, your body feels lighter, you have a greater sense of ease, and movement doesn’t feel as challenging. In many cases, clients are even able to reduce or discontinue using pain medications as we work to help the body heal itself naturally.
I strive to provide compassionate, knowledgeable and professional care so your body can feel its best, and I look forward to working with you soon.
